Quality Assurance / Quality Control
North Country Gold Corp. (the "Company") maintains a rigorous quality control program with respect to the preparation, shipping, analysis and checking of all samples and data from the properties. Quality control for drill programs at the Company's projects covers the complete chain of custody of samples, including verification of drill hole locations (collar surveys and down-hole directional surveys), core handling procedures (logging, sampling, sample shipping) and assay-related work, including duplicate sampling, "check analyses" at other laboratories and the insertion of standard and blank materials. The QA/QC program also includes data verification procedures.
Sample preparation and analysis for the Three Bluffs project is done at ISO 9001 accredited ALS Chemex Laboratories in Vancouver, BC. All samples are assayed for gold by 50 g fire assay fusion with gravimetric finish. Samples containing visible gold or assaying over 20 g/t Au in the initial fire assay round are subject to analysis or re-analysis utilizing 1 kilogram screen fire assays. As part of a comprehensive QA/QC program, one standard is inserted into the sample stream in each group of 20 samples, as well as one or more field blanks in each analytical batch of 20. Ten percent of the drill hole sample rejects are routinely sent to ISO/IEC 17025 accredited TSL Laboratories in Saskatoon for check assaying.
Quality control is carried out by North Country Gold Corp. employees under the supervision of the Company's Vice President of Exploration, Peter Kleespies, M.Sc, P.Geol. Mr. Kleespies is a qualified person as described by National Instrument 43-101.
